- Only the side with the closest ball scores: 1 for each of its balls closer than the other side's best.
- Closest balls level after every ball is rolled: nobody scores. The side that scored most recently throws the next pallino.
- First to 12 under USBF rules, or 16 in many leagues. Agree on the target before you start.
