The score on your Lock Screen and in the Smart Stack

While a game is open, its score shows on your iPhone's Lock Screen and on your Apple Watch, in the Smart Stack. In games with two sides, like volleyball, tennis or ping pong, + adds a point from there. That part is free.

  • The Smart Stack on Apple Watch needs iOS 18 or later
  • When not everyone fits, it still shows who's leading
  • Ending the game shows the winner, then clears

The scoreboard stays on the table

Your iPhone keeps the game: a big tile per player that the whole table can read, rounds that add up, and 39 games set up with their rules. The Watch is the remote, for the person keeping score.

Questions

Is there a score keeper app for Apple Watch?

Yes. Tallynight runs on your iPhone and comes with an Apple Watch app. Open it on your Watch to see the score of the game that's open on your iPhone, and with Tallynight Pro, tap a player to add points.

Does the Apple Watch app work without an iPhone?

No. The game lives on your iPhone, and the Watch is a remote for it, so keep your iPhone nearby. Your players and scores stay on your own iPhone and Watch.

Is the Apple Watch score keeper free?

The score on your Watch is free, in the app and in the Smart Stack, and so is + in two-side games from the Smart Stack. Scoring any game from the Watch app comes with Tallynight Pro, one payment shared with your family. No subscription.

Which games can I score from my Watch?

Any game you score as it happens, like cornhole, ping pong, charades or Catan. Games scored in rounds, like Hearts or Phase 10, show their totals on the Watch; add each round's points on your iPhone.

What do I need?

An iPhone with iOS 17 or later and an Apple Watch with watchOS 10 or later. The score in the Smart Stack needs iOS 18 or later.
